Stealers are defeated by the defending champions in the quarterfinals

The baseball season is over for Bundesliga club Hamburg Stealers. The team of head coach David Wohlgemuth lost 7-2 to the Heidenheim Heideköpfe in the third game of the best of five quarter-final series on Saturday and were eliminated from the defending champions after the two defeats a week ago.

In front of their home crowd, the Hamburg team fell behind 0:5 in the first inning and conceded another point in the second half of the game. Although the Stealers ended up scoring twice as many goals as the guests, it was only enough for two points.

It’s weird when you lose 7-2 and say we were almost the better team, Wohlgemuth said. Unfortunately, his first pitcher was not as good as hoped. The plan didn’t work out. You can say that it’s my fault, the coach admitted afterwards.
