‘Spanish gang’ is expected to make Darwin Nunez set in Liverpool

Salzburg

New Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez needs time to adapt to English football. Their coach Jurgen Klopp understands that. Klop hopes for the help of the Spanish-speaking players there.

Quoted from detikSport, Nunez arrived with high expectations for leaving to replace Sadio Mane. He was brought by Liverpool from Benfica with a tag of 64 million pounds, which could increase to 80 million pounds.

Nunez’s performance was heavily highlighted. He played less well when Liverpool lost 0-4 to Manchester United and won 2-0 over Crystal Palace in pre-season matches.

Nunez wasted several chances and even often lost the ball. He then answered the criticism with four goals when he hit RB Leipzig 5-0 a few days ago.

“We need time to get used to each other, that’s normal. It doesn’t make sense when you expect him to look good after three days of training,” Klopp told reporters. Sky Sports.

“Our current team is the best I’ve ever had, in terms of helping players adapt. A striker with his abilities is indeed different from what we had before,” he continued.

Klopp said the different style of play between Benfica and Liverpool would definitely make it difficult for Nunez. Therefore he will be patient waiting for the 23-year-old player to reach his best performance.

With so many Latin-speaking Liverpool players (Spain and Portugal) such as Thiago Alcantara, Adrian, Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, Alisson Becker, Fabio Carvalho, and Luis Diaz, it will be easier for Nunez.

“He’s a nice guy, gets along well with others, the Spanish-speaking players help him a lot and he’s been studying English, trying to understand the basics first – everything went according to plan.”
