Terrible news for Senegalese basketball and the team of the Olympic Club of Youssoufia Basketball (OCY Basketball). One of their player, the Senegalese Ibrahima Faye, died on Friday July 1 in a road accident in Casablanca.
Information announced by the Moroccan club playing in the 1st National Men’s Division (1DNH), the equivalent of D2. “It is with great sadness that we received the news of the death of the player of the Olympic Club Youssoufia basketball Ibrahima, a good and educated player”.
“In this painful tragedy, we offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, his friends, his family and his loved ones,” wrote the club. Better known as Ibou Faye, the player is a former resident of Pikine Basket Club and HLM Basket Club (HBC).
He had been playing for a few years as a professional in Morocco.
