Saturday night, triumph of the summer plan

Yesterday, on a very pleasant night, the second day of the Summer Nights was held at the Hippodrome of La Zarzuela. Great attendance by the public, who thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of the horse races, the spectacle, the music and the gastronomy.

THE DAY – SAND AND FIBER TRACK

The night began at 10:10 p.m. with the first race on Tuvalu Award, reserved for Apprentices and Professional Riders not winners of 12 races from September 1, 2021. Five contenders for victory, 1,200 meters of course. Vincenzo was far superior to his rivals, marking territory from the start, winning with great authority, from end to end by more than six lengths.

Colosal finishing off with force took second place. Third was Black Voice, who entered the finish line four lengths later.

Second, the disputed Stewardess Award, reserved for Apprentices and Professional Riders not winners of 12 races from September 1, 2021; for three-year-old colts and fillies, not winners of €18,000 in prizes and placements. Six candidates for victory from the 1,700 meter pole. Galiwest and Vegadeo came out of the race, setting the pace of the test, but already on the straight ahead Vegadeo took command, thus entering the final stretch, in which he gave a strong pull towards the goal post, but Weert, coming of the finals, with a strong change of pace, he got closer to the driver, seeing some very exciting final meters to see who would get the victory. Finally Vegadeo managed to resist by half a length, achieving a nice victory. Third already in “another” race, Galiwest came to almost twelve lengths.

He closed the day in third place on Red Bull Award, (Reclaim), reserved for Amazonas and Gentlemen, for horses and mares four years old and over, over the distance of 1,900. four participants. Malzeltof took the lead from the opening of drawers directing his rivals, thus entering the final stretch, in which he went straight to the finish post. Lady Red Moon who entered second in the decisive meters, finishing off with strength and decision, was reducing the distance, giving us some precious final moments, it seemed that she could achieve victory, but Mazeltof held on by a neck, rising to victory. Third, more than four lengths away, came L’archet.
