Santino Tarantelli and a great participation in the “Salta Open” – Diario San Rafael

The “Salta Open” is still in dispute, which takes place on the clay courts of the Sporting Club and awards points for the World Tennis Tour Juniors circuit. In the capital of the province of Salta, the J5 event had San Rafael from Santino Tarantelli on stage, who achieved a new personal experience, achieving high performance.

With the participation of nearly 250 specialists in the discipline, the international tournament organized by the Tres Cerritos Club and supervised by the Salteña Tennis Association has tennis players from Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, the United States, Spain, and Argentina among other countries.

Santino Tarantelli, a player trained at the San Rafael Tennis Club under the guidance of teachers Diego Forcada, Gustavo Juri and José Luis “Jota” Rodríguez, began his path to the main draw playing qualifying where he made his debut in the Qualy beating Santiago Pinna by 3 -6, 6-2 and 10-7.

His path continued with a new victory against Facundo Soplan by 6-2 and 6-4, being superior to his opponent, while in the third match he was beaten by Lautaro Beguerie by 6-7, 7-5 and 10-2.

Already in the main draw, his first confrontation in the first round was against Andrés Medus from Bahía Blanca, whom he clearly beat by 6-2 and 6-4.

However, in the second round he faced Thiago Drozdowski from Paraguay and 7th seed, Santino played a very good first set but lost it 4-6 and in the second the Paraguayan won 6-2, eliminating our representative.

A great gift from Santino who has been in Buenos Aires training since last year in search of entering the professional tennis circuit, and based on a lot of work, the 18-year-old tennis player shows that he is among the best in our country.
