Two legends of world tennis as Roger Federer y Serena Williams They have disappeared this Monday from the respective ATP and WTA rankings after having lost all their points on the circuit, after spending a year without adding.
Federer, absent from the courts since Wimbledon 2021, where he reached the quarterfinals, lost the last points he was defending in the ranking, so he is left out of the list for the first time in the last 25 years. Last week he was still ranked 97th, his lowest position since 1999, a year after his first appearance on the pro circuit.

The Swiss, 40 years old and with 20 Grand Slam titles behind him, is finishing his recovery from a long knee injury, and was seen last week at Wimbledon in an act of celebration for the centenary of the center court of the All England Club, and as a preview of his return, which he hopes will take place in September at the Laver Cup before attending his first ATP tournament, in Basel.
Nor does it appear in the WTA ranking anymore Serena Williamswho returned at Wimbledon after a year’s absence from the courts, losing in the first round to France’s Harmony Tan, and missing out on her last points in the standings.
