Lewandowski, who actually had a year’s contract with FC Bayern Munich, was released by the German record champions at the weekend after weeks of back and forth. Munich collect up to 50 million euros for the transfer of the Pole.
Lewandowski followed his new team to the USA on Sunday to prepare for the new season. He could make his debut with the Catalans against Real Madrid of all places. On Saturday, Barça will meet their Spanish archrival in the US gambling metropolis of Las Vegas (Nevada).
FC Barcelona won the first test game of their North American trip on Tuesday against Inter Miami, the club of England legend David Beckham (47), 6-0 without Lewandowski.
