“Riga” 3×3 basketball players suffer a loss in the quarterfinals of the Lipika “Challenger” series tournament – Basketball – Apollo.lv – Sports

“Riga” lost 15:21 to the best team of Group D, “Ulaanbaatar” from Mongolia in the quarter-finals.

In the middle of the third minute, “Rīga” took the lead for the first time with 5-3 after Ausējs’ shot in passing and Krūmiņš’s rebound and shot in the basket.

After that, Ausės regained the lead for Riga with a long shot – 7:6, but in the continuation, the Mongolian team gained a couple of points, which they increased in the end, prematurely ending the match 46 seconds before the end of the period with a pass by Delgernjam Davāsambu.

For the Latvians, Ausės scored six points, Krūmiņš added five points and six rebounds, Čavars collected four points and six rebounds, while Miezis finished the game without scoring, but with three steals.

For the opponents, nine points and six rebounds were collected by Steve Sir, and eight points by Davāsambu.

It has already been reported that on Friday in Group B games, “Riga”, seeded second in the tournament, lost 20:21 to the Serbian team “Krupanj” (14th) and beat the Belgian quartet “Merks” (7th) 21:17.

In the last match of Group B, the Serbian team was superior to the Belgians, “Riga” ending the group phase in second place.

For the Olympic champion Krūmin, this is the first tournament since April, when he suffered a hand injury.

In this “Challenger” series tournament, 16 teams fight for two tickets to the Lausanne “Masters”.

Until the end of the summer, “Rīga” will participate in FIBA ​​tournaments without Kārlis Paulas Lasmanis, who is currently playing in the US professional streetball league “Big3”.
