(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 21 JUL – Soccer field, 7-a-side field, multipurpose field, skating rink, outdoor ping-pong area equipped for the disabled: all within a renewed green setting equipped and services, and with the old geodesic balloon refurbished in multipurpose function. This is what is foreseen by the large redevelopment project of the Sa Forada area, worth about 2 and a half million euros, which is finally about to be reborn to a new life with funds from the NRP. The old sports facilities close to the 554 will be renovated and integrated into a larger design that will create the first “outdoor sports park” in the city thanks also to the great work of the municipal offices that bring home two out of three of the macro-objectives identified by the Investment measure on “Sport and Social Inclusion”, within Mission 5 of the Pnrr.

These are Clusters 1 and 2 provided for in the original call, in which the Quartese Administration participated by proposing the redevelopment and integration of existing plants, abandoned for some time and falling on a total area of over 22 thousand square meters: the The idea is to encourage the practice of sport for the entire population with particular attention to the disabled, as well as to provide a service to the local sports associations, enhancing a degraded urban area and transforming it into a strong point for the city.

An impressive intervention, divided into two areas: that of Cluster 1 provides for the redevelopment of the old football field, in place of which an 11-a-side football facility will be built, one for 7-a-side football, a multipurpose field dedicated to volleyball and basketball , a tribune for the public and various related services, all within an area of 16 thousand square meters and for a value of 1 million and 750 thousand euros. The second project, registered in Cluster 2 of the Pnrr call, involves the construction of a brand new skating rink and the presence of a green area equipped with outdoor ping-pong tables for the disabled. There will then be a covered path connecting to the existing geodetic balloon, for which a total restyling and re-use in multipurpose function (artistic gymnastics, volleyball, basketball) is planned. “We are very satisfied with the result achieved so far”, explains the councilor for Public Works Mauro Conti.

“Now we move on to the document integration phase by the offices and immediately after to the executive design.

We hope to reach the awarding of contracts by 31 March next, as per the scheduled timetable “. (ANSA).
