New Pep for Chelsea’s Squad!
After the commitment of Raheem Sterling (27) only seems to be a matter of form, Chelsea should already agree with the next ManCity star.
Coach Thomas Tuchel is said to want defender Nathan Ake (27), the Times reports. What’s more, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are already fully in agreement with the player.
However, there is no official offer for City yet. Manchester apparently demands a transfer fee of around 50 million euros.
The centre-back joined the Cityzens from AC Bournemouth in 2020/21 for €45.3m and has since featured in just 40 games in all competitions. His market value is 25 million euros, he still has a contract until the summer of 2025.
The Dutchman is already very well known in London. After all, he was under contract at Chelsea from 2013 to 2017. Back then, however, he was loaned out for three consecutive seasons before being sold to Bournemouth. Is there now a homecoming to Stamford Bridge?
Chelsea have had little joy with returnees in the past. Just think of Romelu Lukaku (29), who is gone again.

After the departures of Antonio Rüdiger (29/Real Madrid) and Andreas Christensen (26/FC Barcelona), Tuchel needs defensive reinforcements. Ake would fit the requirement profile, but it’s only plan B.
Plan A is still Matthijs de Ligt (22 / Juventus Turin). The Dutchman should probably prefer a move to Bayern. If the transfer is fixed, Chelsea will be active at Ake. Otherwise, everything will be done to guide de Ligt into the Premier League.
