From the disappointment of the missed draft call to the joy of the invitation to the next NBA Summer League, it was a short step for Anthony Polite. The Ticino guard, who completed his studies at Florida State University, was in fact invited by the San Antonio Spurs to participate in the summer tournament to be held in Las Vegas from 7 to 17 July. The 25-year-old son of former Bellinzona and Lugano Mike Polite will be only the third Swiss to tread the Summer League parquet after Thabo Sefolosha and Clint Capela.
