The Philadelphia 76ers have officially taken their first free-hand move. After weeks of rumored interest, PJ Tucker is one of his routes to Philly to reunite with James Harden and Daryl Morey.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that the veteran striker has agreed to a three-year, fully guaranteed $33.2 million deal. Tucker most recently played for the Miami Heat where he averaged 7.6 PPG and 5.5 RPG while shooting 41.5% from beyond the arc.

Chord is a top priority for the Sixers and the addition of Tucker will help a lot in that department. Despite being 37, the veteran striker has still proven to be a tough, tenacious defender.

In addition to defense and outside shooting, Tucker also brings playoff and championship experience to the Sixers. With Danny Green no longer on the roster, the addition of another respectable vet was vital for a team looking to fulfill their championship aspirations.
