Pistons contratan al exbase de Syracuse, Buddy Boeheim

The Detroit Pistons announced Saturday that former Syracuse guard Buddy Boeheim has signed a dual contract with the team.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Boeheim was the leading scorer in the 2021-2022 collegiate season in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), averaging 19.2 points and was second in the conference in triples made per game (2.8).

In his fourth year with the Orange, coach Jim Boeheim’s youngest son averaged 14.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 31.5 minutes in 121 games (94 starts).

Boeheim, who is 1.98 meters tall, scored 41% of his shots from the field and 36.2% from long distance.

He finished second in school history in 3-point shooting (309) and a career total of 1,765 points for the 13th-leading scorer in Syracuse history.
