Girona Basketball for the 2022-2023 season continues to take on more and more form. After the incorporation of Quino Colom, the team chaired by Marc Gasol announced yesterday the second signing of the season, winger Patricio Garino. Better known by the nickname “Pato”, the player arrives free at the Girona club and is characterized by his defense and success from the triple.
The last team where the Argentine played was the French Nanterre 92. In January the player and the club terminated their relationship by mutual agreement due to injury. Garino wanted to recover one hundred percent from the muscle problems he was suffering from and which only allowed him to play eight games in the French league.
International with Argentina, the 29-year-old Pato already knows what it’s like to play in the ACB. The winger defended the Baskonia shirt between 2017 and 2020. In total there were 64 matches in the highest category of state basketball. He also has experience in the Euroleague, a competition he has played with the Victorian team and Zalgiris Kaunas, a team where he played during the 2020-2021 season.
