PAN AMERICAN SENIOR JUDO OPEN 2022 WILL BE HELD IN GUAYAQUIL

Thanks to the successful work of two Ambassadors from Guayaquil, Messrs. Roberto Ibáñez Romero and Miguel Ángel Vera Pico, President and Member of the Committee of the Ecuadorian Judo Federation respectively, the Pacific’s pearlwill be the official headquarters of the Open Panamerican Senior Judo which will take place in the city of July 9 to 10, 2022 at the Hilton Colón hotel.

83 athletes from the countries of: Belgium, New Zealand, United States, Mexico, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Panama, Haiti, Jamaica, Colombia, Argentina and Uruguay, will arrive in Guayaquil and participate in this important sporting event that will have attendance of 100 people.

The Guayaquil 2022 Senior Pan American Judo Open is organized by the Ecuadorian Judo Federation and has the direct endorsement of the International Judo Federation, which sponsors the event.

This sporting event is a competition that, in addition to being for the growth of the athletes, is a scoring event for the world ranking and Olympic ranking, additionally it is a qualifying event for the Pan American Games Chile 2023.

These events are important to add the largest number of participating athletes for the host country and thus verify the performance of their training and sports guidelines that said country has had in this sport.

It should be noted that among the important international authorities that will be present at the Guayaquil Senior Pan American Judo Open 2022, the following stand out:

· Kimberlie Rivera, Peruvian, sports commissioner of the Pan American Judo Confederation, CPJ.

· Días de Moura Junior Amadeus, Brazilian, Sports Director of the Pan American Judo Confederation, CPJ.

· Ovidio Juan Tomas Garnero, Arbitration Sports Director of the Pan American Judo Confederation, CPJ.

The Municipal Public Tourism Company through its Convention and Visitors Bureau of Guayaquil, chaired by Mrs. Gloria Gallardo Zavala, will provide all the necessary support to the Ecuadorian Judo Federation, in everything related to the arrival of the Judo delegations from their arrival at the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport, in order to give the athletes from the 83 countries of the world, an impeccable image of professionalism and hospitality of the city.

The great work of Ambassadors Roberto Ibáñez Romero and Miguel Ángel Vera Pico stands out, demonstrating their commitment to the city of Guayaquil and their professionalism in organizing major sporting events such as the 2022 Pan American Senior Judo Open.
