Over 60 judoka in Porto Sant’Elpidio the International Judo Summer Camp returns with Maestro Hamada

PORTO SANT’ELPIDIO – Judo Master Hatsuyuki Hamada arrives from Japan for the 14th Tre Torri International Judo Summer Camp. There are over sixty judoka practitioners from all over Europe to attend the lessons of Maestro Corrado Croceri of the Kenshiro Abbe dojo in Corridonia and his illustrious guests who arrived from the land of the Rising Sun.

A large group of athletes has already started in the sports hall of Porto Sant’Elpidio the annual in-depth course that will last until 29 July on one of the most practiced martial disciplines in the world.

«I am very happy that a representative of our city is carrying out such an esteemed and important activity – said Giuliana Giampaoli, new mayor of Corridonia at the opening – I was very keen to greet all the participants and welcome them to our Region. I recently discovered this discipline and I think that, after the summer, I too will try to start the practice which, according to what they tell me, can be done at any age. Judo has a great pedagogical value and it is very important that our children can find places where they can practice it safely and with excellent teachers ».

To greet those present also Angelo Mercanti, vice president of Fijlkam Marche: «Thanks to the activity of Maestro Croceri we continue to have the possibility of hosting big names in our territory with great advantages for our discipline».

«Despite the difficulties of the moment we continue to renew our sporting and educational proposal – explains Maestro Croceri – Last year we were hindered by Covid but we did the same with good numbers. This year it seems that the conflict and the consequent increase in the cost of living is discouraging many people from traveling but not our judoka friends who have arrived in large numbers and eager to discover the teaching project of Master Hamada, 8th Dan of the Kodokan in Tokyo, a true world authority in its sector “.
