The 2nd Suwon City Sports Council President’s Life Sports Competition, a banquet for Suwon City Sports Club fan clubs, kicked off with an opening ceremony at 10 am on the 2nd at the Suwon City Badminton Stadium.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 300 guests and athletes, including Mayor Lee Jae-joon of Suwon Special Mayor, Kim Ki-jeong, Chairman of City Council, Park Gwang-guk, Chairman of the Sports Association, Park Gwang-on, Baek Hye-ryun, Kim Young-jin, and Kim Seung-won, as well as representatives of each sports group.

The opening ceremony started with the pre-ceremonial performance of the electronic string performance ‘Violet’, followed by the opening ceremony announcement, national rites, grand speech, welcome speech, congratulatory speech, and oath of the players’ representatives.

Park Gwang-guk, president of the Suwon City Sports Council, said, “It is very meaningful to hold a sports competition for daily life with sports enthusiasts for the first time in two years. I will try to do that,” he said.

Mayor Lee Jae-joon also said in his welcome speech, “Lifestyle sports are as important as elite sports. In the future, I will be actively interested in the sports world and will visit you whenever there is a need for a field. Physical education is ‘welfare’.”

On the other hand, this competition, which is held for the first time in over two years due to Corona 19, includes kendo, gateball, golf, ground golf, basketball, billiards, badminton, soft tennis, swimming, underwater fin swimming, ice hockey, archery, woodball, judo, soccer, kickboxing, They compete in 18 sports, including tennis and park golf.
