The current World No.2 is looking to repeat the great tournament she did last year where she reached the quarterfinals, this season, consecrated among the five best players in the world, the goals are different. She has come to the All England Tennis Club to overcome that antepenultimate round that she has as a wall in a ‘major’ tournament at the moment. For the fifth time in her career she has reached a round of 16.

Jabeur is already in the second round

I had in front of me a young player who is slowly taking her little steps but despite her enormous talent, she still has the time to be a tennis player who is in the privileged positions of the ranking. Jabeur comes with a great run having been champion in Berlin and beat both Mirjam Bjorklund and Katarzyna Kawa in straight sets. The Frenchwoman, for her part, defeated the striker Kanepi and the Japanese Mai Hontama.

Jabeur started going for everything from the start. They were close games where he had many break chances having a balance of three of 13 opportunities that he had to take the lead to 5-0. Serving for the first set, Diane’s first game came in one turn at return. Later, she confirmed the break, but it did not prevent Ons from running as the leader of the first set.

The second set was much calmer in terms of breaks. Parry found more solvency with the first blow and everything was decided when the games of greater importance arrived. this time Jabeur had a 100% effectiveness to culminate the match with two breaks against Diane Parry at Wimbledon.
