OMSA will take athletes from Pan American Youth Badminton Championships

More than 600 athletes from different countries will benefit from transportation from the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services (OMSA), during the celebration in the Dominican Republic of the 3rd edition of the Junior Pan American Badminton Championship (Badminton Pan Am Junior Championship).

During the opening match, in which the Dominican delegation faces the Peruvian delegation, the general director of the tournament and general secretary of FEDOBADGeneroso Castillo, highlighted that the transportation support of the OMSA priceless.

On his side, the director general of the OMSA, Radhamés González, reiterated his commitment to sport since he took over the management of the transport entity, as part of his goal of making the OMSA a more humane institution.

In addition to the manager of the WHOA, to the championship opening ceremony attended by: the president of the Dominican Olympic Committee, Antonio Acosta Corlett; the general secretary of FEDOBAD, Generoso Castillo; the Vice Minister of Development of the Ministry of Tourism; Tammy Mercedes Reynoso, the president of the Pan American Badminton Confederation, Vichy Polan, among others.

The event, which will be taking place in the country from July 14 to 22, at the Parque del Este Table Tennis Pavilion, is organized by the Dominican Badminton Federation, with the support of the Pan American Confederation of East sport and the OMSA.

It is recalled that in February of this year (2022), the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services (OMSA) signed an inter-institutional agreement with the Dominican Olympic Committee, through which it promised to provide transportation to the members of its federations, in order to ensure the best conditions for the development of Dominican athletes.
