Barcelona and Sevilla have indeed reached an agreement since yesterday regarding the transfer of Kunde. To bring in the French defender, Barcelona had to spend 50 million euros.
Kunde then flew to Barcelona to undergo a medical as part of his transfer. Exactly the day after, Saturday (30/7/2022) in the morning, Kounde signed a five-year contract.
In that contract, Kounde is covered by a sales clause of 1 billion euros, or around Rp. 15.1 trillion. The 24-year-old defender will then be officially introduced as a new Barcelona player, Monday (1/8) afternoon local time.
Kounde’s introduction will take place at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper starting with the signing of the contract and continuing on to the pitch of Tito Vilanova, just as the rest of Barcelona’s new signings have been introduced this season. After that, Kounde held a press conference with the media.
Jules Kunde has been playing at Sevilla since 2019 after being bought from his boyhood club Bordeaux. He played 133 times with a score of nine goals and already has 11 caps with the French national team.
Kunde is Barcelona’s fifth purchase this season after Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski.
