Nikola Kalinic supports the new Barça basketball team

BarcelonaBarça is starting to have its 2022-23 squad supported. The Barça club and Nikola Kalinic have reached an agreement for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2024. The agreement is pending medical review. The Serbian winger, 30 years old and 2.03 m, comes from the Red Star, a team with which he has won the Cup, the Serbian League and the Adriatic League.

Barça will pay less than 400,000 euros to Valencia Basket, a club that had its rights in the Endesa League. The winger has ruled out an offer 50% higher than Monaco, a team that was also trying to sign him.

Barça’s new winger is a consolidated player in the Euroleague in his position. It is a three high, which can also act as four. He has great mastery of the low stick and a good ability to generate play from below. Kalinic is a player with experience in winning teams as well as experienced and with character. In this last season with the Red Star he has played 32 matches in Europe and has finished the course with an average of 12.6 points, 4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 30 minutes on average.

The addition of Kalinic is the fourth this summer, after the signings of Jan Vesely, Tomás Satoransky and Oscar da Silva. Nick Calathes and Pierre Oriola have a contract, but are already negotiating the termination so that they do not enter the plans of the Barça team. The squad will be completed with Oriol Paulí, a MoraBanc Andorra player who trained at Barça.

Quino Colom, at Bàsquet Girona

Bàsquet Girona has announced the signing of Quino Colom. The Andorran base, who comes from AEK Athens, has experience in the Endesa League and the Euroleague and is international with the Spanish national team. “I want to express my joy and happiness to immerse myself in this project. I think it is a very exciting project and the results will be seen soon. Marc Gasol has been an important piece for my return to Spain, which perhaps it wasn’t something I was thinking about at the beginning of the summer. When we started putting our ideas together I saw that my experience and my years can help a new group in a league as difficult as the ACB “, Colom explained.
