Neyder Lozano: from being on trial to falling in love with Spanish football | Colombians Abroad

The Lugo coach, Hernán Pérez, is clear about his commitment to the Colombian Neyder Lozano, who reappeared on the pitch last week after the serious tibia injury he suffered in 2019 with Granada.

“With Neyder we have it very clear. We are very happy with how he is working and joining the group and as far as sports, we have no doubts, ”acknowledged the coach after seeing the footballer in action in two pre-season friendlies.

Lozano arrived at Lugo to complete the preseason and determine his continuity in the squad, which, according to the coach’s statements, will be based on more aspects than sports, in which he has convinced them.

In addition to his football contribution, Lozano stands out, according to his coach, for his “leadership” capacity in the squad. The Galician club calmly faces the market to incorporate between three and four more players. “Something back, something up and what every coach wants, that at the last minute something appears that has been left out of the game, that improves the squad a lot,” said Pérez.

The new Lugo coach acknowledged that the Galician club’s market is “long” due to its low budget, one of the smallest in the
professional football despite the fact that it is the club that has been in the Second Division for the most consecutive years. “I am very happy with how the sports management is working, as a team, and we have to wait because we don’t have the economic muscle of other teams,” he said.
