NBA star Doncic shines in World Cup qualification

Tallinn – . NBA star player Luka Doncic is already in top form two months before the European Championship with games in Cologne and Berlin and ready for the big event.
The 23-year-old Dallas Mavericks star shone with his Slovenians in a 97-69 win over Croatia. Doncic scored 21 points, also contributed eight rebounds and ten assists. European champion and one of the favorites Slovenia is Germany’s preliminary round opponent at the European Championships on September 6th in Cologne.
Before that, according to the schedule of the world association Fiba, there will be another duel between the two teams in the World Cup qualifier. The only open question is whether this will take place on August 25th in Slovenia or on August 28th in Munich. This largely depends on how the Doncic team concludes the first group stage in Season C on Sunday. Germany is already the winner in Group D. If Slovenia stays second, according to Fiba schedule, there would be a clash in Munich’s Audi Dome on August 28th.
