Malaysia Masters 2022, Apriyani/Siti Fadia Appear Dominant and Advance

KOMPAS.com – Indonesian women’s doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti launched after defeating Supisarra Paewsampran/Puttita Supajirakul in the first round match of the Malaysia Masters 2022, Wednesday (6/7/2022) afternoon WIB.

The new pair that has won achievements, Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, won 21-13, 21-10 over Supisarra/Puttita on Field 3 Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, at the 2022 Malaysia Masters.

This is the first meeting of the two couples.

Supisarra/Puttita are also a new pair in 2022. Supajirakul previously played with Sapsiree Taerattanachai and had broken into the world’s top 10 rankings.

This first round match is the first match between Apri/Fadia at the 2022 Malaysian Masters, while the duel is the second match for Supisarra/Puttita after they have passed the qualifying round.

Apri/Fadia will now face Bulgarian brothers, Stefani and Gabriela Stoeva, in the second round.

The game

Apri/Fadia dominated the game from the start. They managed to bring the first game into the interval at 11-4.

The Thai pair had time to reduce the score after the interval to 12-9. However, the hero of the country returned to speed.

The 2021 SEA Games and Malaysia Open 2022 champion then managed to maintain and widen the gap to end the first game with a score of 21-13 in just 12 minutes.

The second game was not too different. Apri/Fadia’s dominance is unbearable. The Thai pair had caught up to 12-9.

However, Apri/Fadia then skyrocketed and made 8 consecutive points on their way to win 21-10.

They also finished the game in just 26 minutes.
