Leipzig lowers transfer fee for Konrad Laimer: will Bayern strike?

According to consistent media reports, Konrad Laimer would like to leave RB Leipzig in the summer. The Austrian is flirting with a move to Bayern Munich. Munich would also like to sign the midfielder, especially FCB coach Julian Nagelsmann. According to current reports, RB has now lowered its transfer fee for Laimer. Is the transfer poker picking up speed now?

The “BILD” revealed last week that Leipzig would like to generate at least 30 million euros with a sale of Laimer in the summer. A lot of money, especially with a view to the contract period of the 25-year-old. Laimer is only tied to the Saxons until 2023 and can therefore leave the club free of charge in 12 months.

As the transfer expert Ekrem Konur reports, RB has now reduced the fee for Laimer. Accordingly, the financial pain threshold is 25 million euros.

Bayern is in no hurry at Laimer

Even if there have been no talks between the two clubs so far, Bayern and Leipzig would still come closer. According to “BILD” information, Bayern are willing to spend a maximum of 20 million euros on Laimer.

However, the Bayern bosses are in no hurry and want to take advantage of the fact that Laimer has an expiring contract. Accordingly, you are deliberately playing for time and could also live with a last-minute transfer like last year with Marcel Sabitzer, who moved from Leipzig to Munich at the time.

Even if Laimer is on the list for several clubs, Bayern have a clear advantage: the ÖFB kicker would like to switch to the record champions. This is partly due to the good relationship between Laimer and Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann. According to reports, the Austrian national player is Nagelsmann’s absolute dream player.
