Latvia’s opponent Finland excludes Russian champion Kerminen from the national team

Playing in the position of libero, Kerminen, who was previously a regular player, became the champion of Russia last season in the ranks of “Dynamo” Moscow and did not deny the opportunity to play in Russia next season as well. For the Finnish Volleyball Association, such an athlete’s stance is enough to exclude a volleyball player from the national team.

Niklas Breilin will be included in the national team instead of Kerminen, who has played in the national team since 2013.

The Finnish national team will play in Group B together with the national teams of Latvia and Austria in the qualification of the European Championship. First, the Finnish national team will play Latvia away on August 6, followed by two matches against Austria, concluding the group matches on August 17 at home against Latvian volleyball players.
