Laporta promises an investment of 200 million in signings this summer

BarcelonaThese are days of euphoria at Barça. After President Joan Laporta managed to close the first economic “lever”, with the sale of 10% of television rights, and generating a capital gain of 267 million, the entity not only cleared the accounts on the last day of the season. It also marked the path of the future, in economic terms. The entity has permission from the assembly to sell an additional 15% of the League’s television rights, and according to the president, it will seal the operation before the US tour. Specifically, it plans to enter 400 million euros gross for this concept, and thus reverse the club’s negative net worth. The intention is to sign with Sixth Street as well, although the operation is not yet closed, and Laporta’s desire is to be able to formalize the sale before the club goes on tour in the United States.

Laporta explained this on Friday at the Camp Nou box office, in a meeting with journalists that took place after a football match between representatives of different media. Beyond talking about revenue, he has also shelled out some of the investments: he plans to spend about “200 million” on signings, this summer. Money that, for example, must be used to sign Robert Lewandowski.

Barça offer 40 million for Lewandowski and 50 for Raphinha

According to the president, Barça’s offer for the Polish player is still firm and is 40 million. In fact, this is the figure that was “agreed” with the footballer’s agent, Pini Zahavi. The agreement between Barça and the player is complete and all that remains is for Bayern to agree to negotiate for the transfer of the footballer.

The other addition that Barça is working with is Raphinha, a Leeds winger, for whom Barça have put 50 million euros on the table. The player is well prepared to come to Barcelona, but the operation depends on the auction. And it is that Chelsea and Tottenham have offered 75 million for the footballer, as detailed by Laporta. In turn, Leeds already consider the player lost and simply wait to see the best offer to close the transfer.

Xavi insists on the continuity of Dembélé

Meanwhile, the renewal of Dembélé, a player whose contract ended on 30 June, is still pending. Dembouz’s future does not depend on Raphinha, but only on whether the footballer accepts the renewal offer. Xavi Hernández wants to stay and the footballer, according to the president, also wants to stay at the Camp Nou. Instead, his agent, Moussa Sissoko, opposes it and looks for a club that will pay him more money.

On the other hand, Bernardo Silva. Barça are very interested in the Manchester City winger, but his arrival will depend exclusively on the “outings” in the Barça dressing room this summer. On the other hand, the one who is completely ruled out is Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.
