Kyrie Irving at the Lakers, is it dead?

Saturday night Chris Haynes reported that there would be talks between the Nets and Lakers about a trade around Kyrie Irving et Russell Westbrook, but since this rumor, no news. According to Shams it would not be surprising, this file would not progress at all and if there were preliminary discussions, they would have been visibly without follow-up.

“There’s nothing new about it, and I’m not sure we’ll see it happen. » Shams

There would be quite a few obstacles to this deal. First of all because the Lakers don’t have much to offer, and there would be talk of future draft rounds. Upon his announcement, Chris Haynes reported that the Nets would like Joe Harris, who had ankle surgery and who has $38.6 million left on his 2-year contract be included (there are conflicting reports on the subject). But the Lakers wouldn’t be keen on getting Harris back, and would rather it be Seth Curry who’s in the deal. He has an 8.5 million dollar contract that will expire.

There was also talk of a possible 3rd team to facilitate the deal because Westbrook’s contract remains a big problem, even if he is in the last year of his contract.

It is whispered that LeBron James would be very hot to recover Kyrie, but it obviously does not take the path.
