Agenda-Plus has long since not only been about career orientation. At numerous events, young people can also find out what leisure activities there are in Prenzlau. For example, on July 18, when the motto in the Uckerseehalle is: “Judo – the gentle way”. The text in the Agenda event calendar arouses curiosity, emphasizes Alexandra Martinot, press spokeswoman for the city of Prenzlau and co-initiator of the Agenda diploma: “Have you always wondered how you can react appropriately in an emergency situation? How to strengthen your body and mind? How to get more self-confidence and reduce the feeling of being at the mercy?”

Then the answer is: judo. This is Japanese and literally means ‘gentle way’. Judo is a Japanese martial art whose principle is ‘winning by yielding’ or ‘maximum effect with minimum effort’. What promotes judo? In addition to mobility, coordination and balance, judo also promotes concentration, self-confidence, social skills, creativity, courage, respect, discipline and friendship. In the Japanese martial art, participants learn techniques to defeat an opponent without seriously injuring him.
