Juan Camilo ‘Cucho’ Hernández’s record in MLS: sensation in his debut | Colombians Abroad

Juan Camilo Hernández in the MLS is more than an American dream: it is a personal revenge, a vindication and a confirmation of his quality.

In the three games since his happy landing in the MLS, he has already celebrated four goals and that has the Columbus Crew fascinated and convinced of the wisdom of his signing, in exchange for 9.5 million dollars to Englishman Watford.

But the best thing is that, in this short time that he has been dressed in yellow, he already owns a record: the Pereiran is the first MLS player to score four goals in less than 90 minutes: he did it in 88, an average of one goal every 34 minutes.

“It has been a great experience so far. I like that I made the decision to come to MLS. Everything is going well so far, thanks to the way the club has incorporated me, my teammates and the coaching staff. I am happy and I hope that the good times continue to come”, said the scorer in a chat with the official MLS media outlet.

“I don’t like to speculate about things I can’t control. I live in the present and I was focused on this game and I was able to score and we were able to win. My mind is only focused on the match next Saturday,” he added.

Now that he is not tied to the area, he feels more comfortable: “I am playing in a position that I really like as a striker. I am not a striker who likes to be inside the box. I like to go out and make combinations and try to surprise. That has been essential for things to go well. It is important to keep improving so that things go even better”, he concluded.
