James Dickey, a pivot for JL Bourg

JL Bourg records the arrival of American pivot James Dickey III (2.09m, 25 years old), from Hapoel Haifa.

At the end of his university course with UNC Greensboro where he was already taking a lot of rebounds (8.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.7 against), James Dickey took the direction of Hungary for the club Naturtex SZTE- Szedeak. It was a first successful experience, whether individually or collectively. His statistical performances, 12.8 points, 13.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, allowed him to appear in the ideal 5 of the season on the specialized site Eurobasket.com. It must be said that with several very high level performances, including one at 40 rating (24 points, 15 rebounds, 2 blocks), he could not go unnoticed. With his team, he reached the semi-finals of the Playoffs. Last season, he spent it between Germany (Göttingen, 7 games) and Israel with Hapoel Haifa (22 games) where he played with Kadeem Allen. In a higher league, his production was 8.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 blocks in just 20.1 minutes.

“James was my big crush on this position, reveals coach Freddy Fauthoux. We have players under contract who have certain offensive qualities, and I did not want to restrain them. With the signing of Kevin, whom we are going to support in his development, we lacked an extremely precise profile for current basketball, namely a running player, fast on foot and fast in the circle. This is the main quality of James, who is still a young player in full development, but very enthusiastic and committed. With its wingspan of 2m20 and its running and jumping qualities, it will allow us to have an indoor game with several complementary profiles. »
