Iris Agudo, ready for the Virtus European Games

The yepera swimmer Iris Agudo is already concentrated with the rest of the members of the Spanish team that will go to Krakow (Poland) later this week to participate in the Virtus European Games, a competition that combines athletics, swimming, basketball, cycling, table tennis, cricket, horse riding, football, judo and tennis.

In this way, the woman from Toledo will be international again, after the two Virtus World Cups that she already has behind her, the one in 2019 in Brisbane (Australia) and the one last December 2021 in Montluçon (France). Agudo is endorsed by a magnificent career so far this season, with several regional and national titles, and a Castilla-La Mancha record.

On this occasion, the athlete from Yepes, who was awarded last Saturday at the first Gala Ases de Yepes, will participate in five tests: 50 free, 100 free, 50 butterfly, 100 butterfly and 50 breaststroke. Her goal will once again be to try to get on the podium, although she will meet high-level swimmers who will make it difficult for her.

Along with the Down Toledo swimmer, other Castilian-La Mancha athletes also attend. Luis Serrano and Eloy Molina, from CD San ​​Ginés and Adapei, from Albacete are also already in the capital of Spain, while in athletics José Martínez Morote, from CD San ​​Ginés; and Deyanira Hidalgo and Nicolás Castillejos, from the Puertollano Paralympic.
