Hamburg Towers: From London to Tel Aviv in the Eurocup

Hamburg (dpa / lno) – Basketball Bundesliga club Hamburg Towers has to travel to Tel Aviv and Gran Canaria for its second participation in the Eurocup. That was the result of the group draw on Friday in Barcelona. In preliminary round group B, the North Germans meet Hapoel Tel Aviv, Gran Canaria, Buducnost Voli Podgorica, Dolomiti Energia Trento, Turk Telekom Ankara, Promitheas Patras, Paris Basketball, Slask Wroclaw and London Lions. The start of the season for coach Raoul Korner’s team will take place in mid-October.
As a debutant, the Hamburg Towers advanced to the round of 16 last season. In the 20-year history of the Eurocup, the Towers were the first debutant to convert more than 200 three-pointers: exactly 201 three-pointers in 18 games.
