Nice visit for our soccer women!
Shortly before leaving for the Women’s European Championship (July 6th to 11th in England), soccer legend Franz Beckenbauer (76) met our DFB girls at the training camp in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria!
After an appointment at Adidas’ headquarters, the “Kaiser” ran into the DFB ladies by chance, but stayed with the soccer girls to take photos and wish them good luck for the upcoming tournament.
Bayern midfielder and national team star Linda Dallmann (27) shared one of the now rare photos with Beckenbauer on Instagram. She writes: “Kaiser Beckenbauer”.
Then: Recently there have always been major health concerns about the German football legend. It was only in May that Beckenbauer was absent from the departure of Leverkusen boss Rudi Völler (62) for health reasons. The ex-libero is withdrawing more and more from public life, and photos have become rare.
The DFB women fly to England for the Women’s European Championships on Sunday and trained for the tournament at Adidas’ “Home Ground” in Herzogenaurach.
Next Friday (July 8th) the women’s DFB-Elf will meet their first opponent, Denmark (9 p.m.) in the group stage of the European Championship.
Surely the “Kaiser” will then also follow the game.
