Drunk soccer player kills 16-year-old
Bad Segeberg (Schleswig-Holstein) – The prosecutor soberly presents her charges of negligent homicide against a 22-year-old. What she describes sounds like a tragic accident caused by unfortunate circumstances. A high school student (16) died in a bus.
But what happened in the late evening of October 24, 2020 on the B 432 between Mözen and Leezen was a drama with announcement!
BILD learned: Footballer Niklas F. from Groß Niendorf and his team from Leezener SC had won 3-1 against FSG Kaltenkirchen on the day of the accident.
The whistle blew off at 3:45 p.m. The 22-year-old only sat on the bench, but then popped the cork and drank alcohol in a pub with the team.
Then, according to the public prosecutor, F. sat in his VW station wagon. At 8:27 p.m., he lost control of his car at a speed of at least 102 km/h.
The prosecutor: “The accused first grazed a tree on a straight road, then collided with another and then with a bus.”
F’s car spun in the middle section, hit Angélina D. from Seth. The 16-year-old died of a traumatic brain injury.
Niklas F. expresses “express condolences” through one of his lawyers. Most of all, however, he feels sorry for himself: “He has lost some of his will to face life.”
At the time, F. had simply fled in a drunken state. The prosecutor: “He was aware that the accident would have serious consequences.”
The process goes on.
