Football transfers: ManCity – This is how Guardiola gets his dream player – FOOTBALL

Only when one goes can the other come…

Pep Guardiola still has to wait for his desired transfer. The reason: The departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko (25) to Arsenal is not yet a thing of the past. City is said to collect around 35 million euros for the Ukrainian left-back.

Guardiola already has his sights set on a successor he absolutely wants to sign: Spaniard Marc Cucurella (23). He is under contract with Brighton & Hove Albion. Problem for Pep: Brighton demands a transfer fee of around 50 million euros. City does not want to comply with this requirement.

So Guardiola still has to be patient, especially since City is also being closely monitored in terms of financial fair play. City have already spent over 100 million euros on Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phllips, but have also earned a similar sum for Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.

One thing is clear: before City and Brighton can get any closer when it comes to Cucurella, the Zincheko deal has to go through.

The good news for Pep: According to The Sun, an agreement between Arsenal and Zinchenko is imminent.
