Fenerbahce fans get reprimanded for chanting Putin’s name during match against Dynamo Kyiv

The first match between the teams ended in a 0-0 draw, but in the second match, the Ukrainian team won 2-1 in extra time.

In the 57th minute of the game, Vitalijs Bujalskis put the Kyiv team in the lead, who, celebrating the goal, portrayed the eagle symbol of Istanbul team’s principle opponent “Besiktas”. “Fenerbahce” fans started chanting Putin’s name in the stands after the losing goal.

After the match, the head coach of “Dynamo”, Mircea Lucescu, in a conversation with the Turkish newspaper “Fanatik” added that the game was good, but the behavior of the fans is regrettable.

Also, Ukrainian ambassador Vasyl Bodnar expressed his indignation on Twitter, saying that despite the fact that there are many Ukrainian supporters in Turkey, it is sad to hear that Fenerbahce fans support a murderer and aggressor who continues to bomb Ukraine.

“Dynamo” will face Austrian team “Sturm” Graz in the third round of Champions League qualification.
