4 representatives of Indonesian men’s doubles advanced to the semifinals of the Singapore Open 2022, following the victory of Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto over Terry Hee/Loh Kean Hean.

The fourth party of the Singapore Open men’s doubles quarterfinals brought together Fajar/Rian vs Hee/Loh. The duel took place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, Friday (15/7/2022) afternoon WIB.

Fajar/Rian have a mission to realize the all Indonesian semifinals. Three other Indonesian representatives, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Muhammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, have already qualified for the top four.

Follow-up points occur at the start of the first game to 6-6, 8-8, 9-9. Fajar/Rian trailed Hee/Loh 9-11 at the interval.

Fajar/Rian equalized the score 11-11 after the interval. The romp again occurred until the score was balanced 15-15.

The Hee/Loh pair won three consecutive points and won 18-15. The Singapore representative reached the game points 20-16.

Rian’s error returning the service ball ended the first game for Hee/Loh 21-16.

The numbers followed again in the second half to 7-7, 8-8, 9-9 and 10-10. Rian’s backhand brought the Indonesian representatives to a 11-10 lead in the second interval.

Hee/Loh equalized 13-13 after the interval. Fajar/Rian won two points in a row and won 15-13.

Fajar/Rian were able to escape the pressure and lead by four points, 19-15. This Indonesian representative reached game points 20-15, before ending the second game with a win 21-15. Rubber game!

Hee/Loh led 5-2 at the beginning of the third game. Fajar/Rian chased and equalized 5-5.

The two pairs returned to chase points 6-6, 7-7. Fajar/Rian had a 10-7 lead, before finally reaching the interval with a score of 11-9.

Hee/Loh equalized 11-11 after the interval. Fajar/Rian won three consecutive points and won 14-11. Fajar/Rian are again ahead by three points 15-12 after winning a long rally of 43 strokes.

Fajar/Rian maintain a three-point advantage 18-15 and reach a match point of 20-15. Muhammad Rian Ardianto’s measurable smash ended the third game with a win 21-15.

Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto’s victory made Indonesia lock the title in the men’s doubles number Singapore Open 2022. 4 Indonesian representatives will compete for tickets to the final, Saturday (16/7).
