Eintracht Frankfurt: Oliver Glasner believes that Filip Kostic will stay Sports

Easy game for Eintracht when it was 5-0 in the dress rehearsal at Astoria Walldorf (4th division). But there were three excitements:

1. 2,500 spectators continued to wonder whether wing star Filip Kostic (29) was still changing. Coach Oliver Glasner (47): “As of today, I’m sure he’ll stay with us.”

2. But he expects a suspension for newcomer Hrvoje Smolcic (21) in the cup in Magdeburg on Monday. “I just found out that he could be out because he was shown yellow-red in the cup final in Croatia.” Eintracht is checking that with the DFB today.

Smolcic would be needed above all if Evan Ndicka (22 / Wade) is still injured.

3. And goalkeeper Kevin Trapp /32) called in sick before the game. No corona, but a flu infection. Glasner holds his breath that number 1 will be healthy.

World champion Mario Götze (30) played in Walldorf for the first time in the starting eleven (in front of Kamada as the second six next to Sow). With a lot of ball contacts from a top template for Kostic. And with three goals from Lindstrøm, Kostic and Borré.

“We were very enthusiastic about the game in the first half. With many chances to score. But in the end we enjoyed possession too much. With the danger of thinking that we have to outplay the opponent on the beer coaster,” said the coach.

Then three new ones stormed: Lucas Alario, Randal Kolo Muani, Faride Alidou. But with the exception of goals from Jakic and Alario, Eintracht combined too often. Glasner: “I didn’t like the vote.”
