Djokovic does not lose hope: “I train as if I could play the US Open”

Novak Djokovic don’t lose the hope of being able to play the US Open. To this day, it is still far from the last Grand Slam of the season since the United States forces everyone who wants to enter the country to have the coronavirus vaccination schedule. “I’m getting ready like I’m allowed to compete, waiting to know if he will be able to travel to the United States. Fingers crossed”, the Serbian tennis player wrote on his social networks along with a video in which he is seen training.

The recent Wimbledon winner also took the opportunity to thank the messages of support he has received these days: “I didn’t expect it, and that’s why it feels very special that people connect with my career in such a loving and supportive way and want me to continue competing,” he says.

The three times champion of the US Open appears among those registered for this edition, but it is a purely formal step. The organizers of the tournament specified that they do not have their own regulations on covid and, in that sense, they respect government law.
