Dafne Quintero prepares her bow, she is the first Mexican confirmed for the World Cup Final in Tlaxcala

After her participation in the prestigious circuit of the Archery World Cup “Hyundai 2022”, an event where she had her debut as the senior team, Coahuilense Dafne Valeria Quintero García, becomes the first Mexican confirmed for the Final of the contest, which will take place in Tlaxcala, on October 15 and 16, as she is one of the best placed archers in compound.

During his participation in the tournament, Quintero García achieved a bronze, which meant the first medal for his personal account and the only one for the country in the second stage of the World Cup, in Gwangju, South Korea; while, in the fourth scale, in Colombia, he obtained a silver and a bronze, for which he automatically earned the right to represent the country in the season finale.

There will be 32 archers who will participate in Tlaxcala, 16 in recurve bow and 16 in compound bow, in both genders; So far, there are 28 selected who have obtained their place in this instance, either as stage winners or with points in the ranking, received for high results or through qualification bonuses, during the four competition seasons: Turkey, Korea South, France and Colombia.

Mexico is waiting for the confirmation of the four archers that will occupy the designated tickets for hosting, two in recurve and two in compound.

In compound bow the guests are: Mike Schloesser, from the Netherlands; Nicolas Girard, France; James Lutz, United States; Mathias Fullerton, Denmark; Jean Philippe Boulch, France; Jean Pizarro, Puerto Rico and Braden Gelenthien, from the United States.

In addition to Ella Gibson, from Great Britain; Kim Yunhee, South Korea; Sara López and Alejandra Usquiano, both from Colombia; Lisell Jaatma, Estonia; Tanja Gellenthien, Denmark; as well as the Mexican Dafne Quintero.

In men’s recurve bow the list is headed by: Miguel Alvariño García, Spain; Kim Woojin, South Korea; Marcus D’Almeida, Brazil; Kim Je Deok, South Korea; Mauro Nespoli, Italy; Mete Gazoz, Turkey and Brady Ellison, from the United States.

While, in the women’s category, the following stand out: Bryony Pitman, Great Britain; Choi Misun and An San, from South Korea; Katharina Bauer, Germany; Water Utanus; Japan, Kuo Tzu Ying and Peng Chia-Mao, from Chinese Taipei.
