Caribbean Games say goodbye with medals

Basse Terre, 3 jul (Prensa Latina) .- Almost a dozen titles will be played today at the First Caribbean Games, which will be closed in a few hours.

Swimming finished its actions in the Baimbridge Intercommunal pool, but two sets of medals remain to be delivered: the open water ones (five kilometers in both sexes).

Meanwhile, cycling will close its calendar with the men’s individual route and women’s time trial events.

For its part, judo will develop the team competition, through direct crosses.

In turn, netball will complete its program with the Guadeloupe-Santa Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago-Jamaica matches, after which the final ranking will be known.

Finally, futsal will have its day of definitions, with the duels for the fifth and third places, in addition to the one that will contribute to the champion of these Games, between Cuba and Suriname, who headed their respective groups.

In the evening hours it will be the turn of the Closing Ceremony, which promises to be as colorful as the Opening Ceremony, back at the René Serge Nabajoth Stadium.
