Augustine Rubit will also play for runners-up Bayern Munich in the coming BBL season. The 32-year-old American has extended his contract with the EuroLeague participant by one year. Bayern announced this on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Leon Radosevic (32) is leaving the club. The Croatian center with a German passport is leaving after four years in which he celebrated the 2019 championship and the 2021 cup win.
Rubit had moved to Munich from Zalgiris Kaunas/Lithuania last year. The power forward, who was under contract in Tübingen, Ulm and Bamberg from 2014 to 2019, averaged 10.6 points per game in the 2021/22 BBL. In the EuroLeague it was 10.5.
Rubit was “undoubtedly one of the surprises of the last EuroLeague season,” said sporting director Daniele Baiesi: “Augustine was very productive for us on offense and one of our key players in attack with his two-dimensional game. He also showed us versatility on defense and physique given.”
