The 92nd edition of the MLB All-Star Game features the best players in the Los Angeles Dodgers stadium American League (AL) and National League (NL) against each other. The fans had the opportunity to determine the starting line-up of the respective teams by voting.
Japanese makes history
The rest of the roster was determined by Commissioner Rob Manfred and by player vote. With the Japanese Shohei Ohtani, one of the participants is writing history. The Los Angeles Angels player earned his second straight pitcher and hitter nomination for the American League. No one before him could do that. With Byron Buxton and Luis Arraez, two of Max Kepler’s teammates are also represented in the AL selection for the Minnesota Twins.
