On Saturday, the last games of the regular round in the BBL took place in Ballpark Hard. In the Ländle derby against the Feldkirch Cardinals, the Hard Bulls came out on top twice.

In the first game, Pascal Campregher and Lukas Bickel pitched on the mound. Both had problems and didn’t find their way into the game. Even a pitcher change brought no improvement. The Cardinals equalized to 7-7, but the hosts pulled away 9-7. Only when Jonas Zimmermann and Julian Nenning took over on the mound did the game speed up. The Bulls were able to extend their lead and close the sack with Hubert Böhler as the closing pitcher. The first game went to the Bulls at 19:12. Highlights included Zeke Holt’s 2-run home run and Clayton Carson’s 3-run home run.

The Bulls’ import pitcher dominated the second game. Hokuto Kanai completed a “complete game” and did not allow a run for 7 innings. The Cardinals’ defense didn’t control the hosts’ offense. The Bulls are consistently hitting and running. With a score of 9-0, we went into the 7th inning. Due to a “throwing error” Zeke Holt made it to first base. In the same move, Erwin Frias was able to score the decisive 10th run, which is why the second game went to the Hard Bulls with “Mercy Rule”.
