Baseball: Bulls are back with two wins – Hard

Another home game in the regular season of the Baseball Bundesliga took place at Ballpark Hard on Saturday. The Hard Bulls received the ASAK Athletics from Attnang-Puchheim for a double header.

In the first game between the Hard Bulls and ASAK Athletics, the Bulls took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The starting pitcher Kirian Pichler showed a strong performance. In the 5th inning, however, the Athletics pulled away 3-4. Then Jonas Zimmermann and Levin Maier came onto the mound. The two braked the offensive of the opponents. The Bulls’ offensive was in top form and changed the score to 10:5. The highlight is Zeke Holt’s 2-run home run in the 6th inning. It got exciting when the guests scored a run in the 8th and 9th inning, but the closing pitcher Hubert Böhler closed the sack. Game 1 went to the Hard Bulls 10-7.

The second game was a pitcher duel. Hokuto Kanai pitched for the Bulls, Jimmy Jensen stood on the mound for the Athletics. The hosts managed to score 3 runs in the first inning. But as the game progressed, the pitchers and defenses of both teams showed their skills and didn’t allow a run until the 8th inning. In the 8th inning, the Bulls extended their lead to 4-0. Hokuto Kanai didn’t allow the Athletics another run in the 9th inning and gave the Bulls their second win of the day with a shutout.
