Atlético Junior: Carlos Bacca close to signing,. Alejandro Char confirms early negotiation | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

All the paths of Carlos Bacca seem to lead to his first love, Atlético Junior, from his native Barranquilla.

It had already been reported that the striker was in the city, he himself admitted that he had not had contact with anyone from the club but that he was open to negotiation and there it seemed that everything was fairly bogged down.

But in the last hours the situation changed: Miguel Borja was transferred to River Plate and everything seemed to flow quickly.

This was confirmed by Alejandro Char, former mayor of Barranquilla, a member of the family that owns the club and who, lately, has been in charge of confirming the signings of Junior.

He did it with a very familiar photo, in the living room of his house next to the striker, sitting talking about what the terms of the return would be:

Bacca was a two-time champion with Junior (2010 and 2011) and a two-time goalscorer (in the League and Cup) before going to Bruges in Belgium, Seville, Villarreal and Granada in Spain and AC Milan in Italy… and winning the Europe League.

If everything goes as it usually does when the politician gets involved, the official announcement is a matter of hours. So it was with Borja recently.

In this way, what would be the second reinforcement for coach Juan Cruz, who already works with Iván Rossi, is brought forward. Nothing is said about the options of Giovanni Moreno and Teófilo Gutiérrez, for which everything could remain a rumor.
