Coffee growers are in first place in the reclassification table with 39 units.

The miraculous squad was runner-up in the first tournament of the year.

With their minds set on the Final B Tournament and on achieving the title that will allow them to fight for their return to the first division of Colombian professional soccer at the end of the year, Deportes Quindío resumed practices under the guidance of Professor Óscar Héctor Quintabani .

In the first semester the results were positive. The team only lost one game, which contributed to its 39-point first place in the reclassification table, which also offers chances of a return to A.

The tournament system is as follows. The 15 return matches are played (the first legs are played in the Opening Tournament) and a date of classics; the 8 best positioned teams advance to the semi-final home runs, and the winners of each home run play the final of the tournament in two legs (round trip).

The champion of the Opening Tournament and the champion of the Finalization play a two-legged final, and the winner advances to the first division. The loser, on the other hand, faces two-way matches against the best of the reclassification of the year (other than the champion).

The most important loss of Quindío is that of attacker Fabián Mina, the club’s top scorer, who ended up in Ecuadorian football; while Santiago ‘Soldado’ Gómez, who has just stood out in Guatemalan football, is already working with the eleventh.

Although the league from which he comes is not strong, the footballer’s goalscoring ability is important and it is expected that he will quickly adapt to Colombian football.
