Anthony Ginting Qualifies for the Quarterfinals

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting advanced to the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Masters 2022. Anthony won in straight games over Parupalli Kashyap.

In the second round match at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Thursday (7/7/2022) afternoon WIB, Anthony won 21-10, 21-15 over Parupalli. He only needed 34 minutes to complete the resistance of the Indian representative.

Anthony always leads from the start of the first game. After winning 11-6 at the interval, Anthony then pulled away by winning three straight points.

A netting cross gave Anthony a 16-9 advantage. Anthony then scored a game point with a strike at the net and secured the first game 21-10 after Parupalli’s backhand hit the net.

The match was tight at the start of the second game. Anthony and Parupalli continued to chase points until the position was tied at 7-7.

However, Anthony was able to widen the distance and lead 11-8 at the interval. Anthony’s game several times forced Parupalli to make his own mistakes.

Anthony got a match point after Parupali miscalculated Anthony’s push ball backwards. Anthony then sealed the win after Parupalli’s ball went out.

Qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Masters 2022, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will next face the winner of the match between Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo and Kantaphon Wangcharoen.

Meanwhile, from the mixed doubles number, Hafiz Faizal/Serena Kani stopped in the round of 16 of the Malaysia Masters 2022. They were defeated by the host’s representative, Gon Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jemie, with a score of 15-21, 20-22.
