Ancenis-Saint-Géréon: “Couleurs parasol”, a full program of entertainment for the summer

The calendar of summer events, entitled “Couleurs parasol”, has just been released. In the program, 110 animations of all kindscarried by the municipal services, local associations, the Syndicat d’Initiative, the MAT, the collective “Cultivons les Cailloux”, the Compa and the Tourist Office. The festivities will take place in the four corners of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon: Bois Jauni complex, Théâtre de Verdure, Jardin de l’Eperon, courtyard of the château, Théâtre Quartier libre, etc. A multitude of places to “network the whole city, and not just the city center”, underlines Florent Caillet, deputy mayor.

The festivities will take place in the four corners of Ancenis-Saint-Géréon: Bois Jauni complex, Théâtre de Verdure, Jardin de l’Eperon, courtyard of the château, Théâtre Quartier libre…

The group “Cultivons les cailloux” will be at the initiative of a night market, every Friday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the Douves garden, which will bring together some sixty producers/processors and craftsmenwith in parallel, concerts and animations.

Incredibly talented alumni

Every Wednesday, shows and concerts will take place at the Théâtre de Verdure, the outdoor stage facing the Loire. On the bill, circus, with the Goldini family, an acrobatic and burlesque duo, or even The Rookies, a group of young dancers from Nantes, who had made a remarkable appearance on the program “Un Incroyable talent”.

The Renaissance dwelling will be the home of the storytellers, every Tuesday. Stories for children under 6, with the “Petite Feuille” company, and for adults, with the Franco-Lebanese storyteller Darwiche Najoua. For the more athletic, a program focused on initiation was concocted by the ancient sports associations. The opportunity to test climbing, archery, triathlon, boule de fort, mountain biking and many other sports. Heritage will be in the spotlight, with a series of festivities to honor the city’s history. The curious can visit Ancenis with a connoisseur of the city, or even discover the castle of La Motte-Glain.

Sound effects workshop for children

The Eden 3 cinema will offer a sound effects workshop, dedicated to children from 7 to 14 years old. Young people will be able to learn about mixing by experimenting with different sound and dubbing techniques. The gastronomic heritage will be highlighted with a visit to the artisanal brewery “O’malt” or the discovery of the Carli chocolate workshop. Le Mat will host the “Extract” exhibition by Elise Eeraerts and Julie Hascoët, recounting the region’s coal past.
